Madison Square Garden has hosted some of the biggest sporting events ever, but Taylor Swift getting married might just be the biggest occasion yet.
Swift married NFL superstar Travis Kelce this weekend in New York, with the event taking place at the home of the basketball team the New York Knicks.
Not much is known about the wedding as of yet, with the pop star, somehow, managing to keep it mostly out of the press.
However, as always with things like this, people have managed to leak small details and provide nuggets of information, with one attendee explaining how MSG was simply taken over by ‘Swiftees’.
Taylor Swift transformed Madison Square Garden
AMC Theatres CEO Adam Aron took to X on Friday night, the day of the wedding, sharing details of exactly what went down in MSG.
“It did not look like Madison Square Garden,” Aron wrote in a since-deleted post. “Immediately upon entry, everything, floors, walls, the ceiling… was draped in peach and white. Large blown up pictures of Taylor and Travis at each age, year by year, from one year-old to late teenager-hood, were on display.
“A small portion of MSG was cordoned off, devoid of any notion that a basketball or hockey game ever shared that space.
“Somehow magically, someone created an outdoor garden at a lush countryside retreat. Everything draped off this time in green and white. They say there were around one thousand attendees, but surprisingly, it all felt intimate and small.”
Which celebrities went to Taylor Swift’s wedding?
Although the entire guest list is not yet known, some very famous faces were seen coming and going to see Swift and Kelce tie the knot.
Selena Gomez, Bradley Cooper and his girlfriend supermodelGigi Hadid, as well as Benson Boone were all rumoured to be going.
Ellie Goulding and Zoe Kravitz were two more big names said to be in attendance, highlighting just how high-profile this event really was.
