TAWAU: A 16-year-old boy drowned while bathing at Balung River Eco Resort, Jalan Apas on Wednesday afternoon.
The Fire and Rescue Department said the victim, reported missing at 3.24pm, was found 50 metres from the spot he disappeared, lodged between rocks at a depth of three feet.
A team of 10 firefighters recovered the body and handed it to police.
The operation ended at 5.35pm.
