A 19-YEAR-OLD woman died after she was believed to have fallen from the 19th floor of a condominium in Batu Caves here on Monday.

Gombak District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Noor Ariffin Mohamad Nasir said police from the Gombak District Police Headquarters, together with medical personnel from Selayang Hospital, were dispatched to the scene after receiving information at 5.49pm.

However, the victim was pronounced dead at the location.

“The victim is believed to have fallen from the 19th floor of the condominium building.

“Investigations found that the victim was a 19-year-old local woman,” he said in a statement.

Noor Ariffin said initial checks at the scene found no elements of criminal activity, and post-mortem findings confirmed that the cause of death was severe head injuries consistent with impact from a fall from a height.

He said the case has been classified as a sudden death report.

He also advised the public not to engage in speculation that could disrupt investigations and to respect the privacy of the victim’s family.

“Any information related to this incident can be channelled to the investigating officer and Selayang Police Station Chief Inspector Mohd Ridzuan Alang at 019-4492685 or the Gombak District Police Headquarters operations room at 03-61262222,” he said. - February 5, 2026
