Kota Kinabalu: Tekun Nasional has announced a six-month moratorium for entrepreneurs struggling to repay financing after being affected by the recent floods.
Chairman Datuk Abdullah Sani said the initiative was part of Tekun’s flood relief measures to ease the burden faced by small business operators.
He said affected entrepreneurs would also be allowed to withdraw part of their savings in financing accounts, reschedule repayments, or apply for overlapping loans to restart businesses hit by losses.
Abdullah added that applications can be submitted at Tekun branch offices within three months of the floods, supported by two photographs of affected premises and verification from Tekun officers.
During a visit to Penampang, Abdullah was joined by board member Rowindy Lawrence Odong, and the delegation also distributed food baskets to flood-affected residents.
