
KOTA BELUD: Tekun Nasional is targeting RM100,000 in total sales during the Tekun Madani Carnival held in conjunction with the Kaamatan Festival at Kadamaian Square here from Thursday until Saturday.
The event was officiated by Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Minister Datuk Ewon Benedick.
Since its inception in 1998 up to March this year, Tekun Nasional has disbursed RM10.28 billion in business financing to 598,517 entrepreneurs nationwide, including RM1.18 billion to 65,880 entrepreneurs in Sabah.

He added that TikTok Shop’s role as a strategic partner is expected to boost digital sales and visibility among local micro-entrepreneurs.
Sabah entrepreneurs using TikTok Shop Live Hub at the Tekun Penampang office recorded a 100 per cent increase in sales across over 100 hours of live-streaming, with top-performing products from Kita Shop Sabah, Sharprhinosbrand, Queyun Tuhau, and Rendang Oma.
The three-day carnival includes over 100 sales booths, live performances, contests, and government exhibitions, and is expected to attract 10,000 visitors while enhancing grassroots economic competitiveness in line with national poverty eradication goals.
