KOTA KINABALU: Gaya Street’s Block D will be temporarily closed for a month to make way for road surface upgrading works beginning this Saturday, said City Hall (DBKK) in a Facebook post on Wednesday.
The closure, which runs from Nov 1-Dec 1, aims to facilitate the ongoing project to upgrade the road surface at Block D.
DBKK said traffic flow along Blocks A, B, and C of Gaya Street will remain open and unaffected during the construction period.
The public has been urged to follow temporary signage and exercise caution when passing through the affected section.
City Hall thanked road users for their cooperation and assured them that the works are part of its effort to improve road safety and comfort in the city.
