Tenom: Sixty two settlers from the Sabah Rubber Industry Board (LIGS) Lagud Seberang Plantation Scheme, who have completed the payment for development loan costs, are demanding that the land grant be issued to them immediately.

Settler leader Samaan Lalang said the Lagud Seberang LIGS Plantation Scheme has 93 settlers, and 31 of them received their grants during the Warisan administration.

He said the remaining 62 grants that have not been issued are for settlers who completed their development loan payments between 2008 and 2012.

“Therefore, we are requesting the Land and Survey Department to issue the remaining grants to us as soon as possible because the development loan payments and related fees were settled more than ten years ago,” he said in a handwritten statement sent via WhatsApp to a representative of the Daily Express here.
