KUALA TERENGGANU - The Terengganu government has announced a bonus of RM900 to 14,000 eligible civil servants in the state.

Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar hoped that the bonus, to be paid in January 2023, would spur them to work harder.

"In appreciation of the services of the state civil servants in mobilising the government administration, I hereby announce a bonus of RM900 to nearly 14,000 eligible recipients, he said when tabling Budget 2023 at the Terengganu State Assembly sitting at Wisma Darul Iman, here, today.

Earlier, Ahmad Samsuri tabled Budget 2023, which included RM1.991 billion for operating expenses; RM500 million for development expenses; and RM30 million for water supply expenses.

The budget, themed ‘Memacu Terengganu Berdaya Tahan’ (Driving Terengganu to be Resilient), outlines three main thrusts as an approach to implementing Budget 2023, namely Caring for the People, Drive the Economy and Sustain Development. - BERNAMA
