TGV announces 47 Infinity Vision-certified halls across Malaysia: Here’s the full list

TGV has recently published the list of its Infinity Vision-certified cinema halls in Malaysia. The 2nd largest cinema chain operator in Malaysia said that these halls are located in 23 locations across the country.

The first Infinity Vision movie will be Avengers: Endgame Encore, which will premiere in Malaysia on 24 September 2026. It will be followed by Avengers: Doomsday, which is slated to premiere on 17 December 2026.

What is Infinity Vision?

Infinity Vision is NOT a standalone film format or hardware technology like IMAX. Instead, Infinity Vision is a certification program for premium large format (PLF) cinemas created by Walt Disney Studios, the parent company of Marvel Studios.

In other words, you can think of Infinity Vision as a badge that acknowledges that the cinema hall has met the standard set by Disney under the Infinity Vision certification program. Interestingly enough, the requirements are not a secret since they are actually listed on the Infinity Vision website:

  • Screen: Minimum 45 feet (~13.7 meters) wide
  • Sound: Either immersive sound (e.g Dolby Atmos) or 7.1 sound
  • Projection: Brightness levels reaching either 14 foot-lamberts in 2D and/or 6 foot-lamberts in 3D

It has previously been reported that the Infinity Vision version of the Endgame Encore will include a custom introduction, new footage, and “special end tag”. These additional contents are also available on the IMAX version.
