The New York Knicks’ championship parade gave fans the kind of images they had waited 53 years to see.

On June 18, New York celebrated its first NBA title since 1973, with a massive ticker-tape parade winding through Lower Manhattan. The route ran from Bowling Green up Broadway, through the Canyon of Heroes, and finished with a ceremony outside City Hall.

The most memorable photos from the day captured more than just a trophy. They showed a city, a team and generations of fans finally letting go of decades of frustration.

The defining image was Jalen Brunson holding the Larry O’Brien Trophy above the crowd after being named Finals MVP. Brunson became the face of the title run, especially after his 45-point performance in the Game 5 clincher against the San Antonio Spurs.

Other standout moments included blue and orange confetti falling between skyscrapers, players riding on floats and packed streets stretching through the Canyon of Heroes.

Mikal Bridges added a lighter touch by bringing his dog along for the ride.

Celebrity guests and family moments made parade unforgettable

The parade also became a full New York celebrity moment. Spike Lee, Ben Stiller, Timothée Chalamet, Tracy Morgan, Chris Rock, Mariska Hargitay, Jon Stewart, Edie Falco and Martha Stewart were among the famous faces spotted.

Ben Stiller was joined by Christine Taylor, while Mariska Hargitay reportedly attended with her son. Alicia Keys performed “Empire State of Mind,” turning the celebration into a city soundtrack moment.

The family images mattered just as much. Brunson celebrated with his wife, Ali Marks, and their young child. Towns was joined by Jordyn Woods, while Josh Hart also had family around him.

The Knicks earned every frame by beating San Antonio 94-90 in Game 5 and closing the Finals 4-1.

For fans, the parade was not just proof of a championship. It was proof that the wait had finally ended, and every image carried that weight.
