The filming for the highly anticipated The Devil Wears Prada sequel officially began towards the end of June; however, we are just now getting a glimpse into what Andy Sachs is up to, nearly two decades on.
Anne Hathaway took to her socials this week to tease fans with two quick wardrobe sneak peeks.
First, the star shared a TikTok captioned, “heading to werk #dwp2”, in which she was brushing her teeth. More notable than what she was doing, however, was an all too familiar-looking cerulean sweater worn by Hathaway. Though we doubt the Frame crewneck she is wearing this time around was “fished out of some clearance bin”

She then went on to share another video to her socials, in which she stood in front of a “2” and twirled in a Gabriela Hearst maxi dress. This post was also captioned “#dwp2”. The actress was seen in this same dress, wearing a straw hat and holding a garment bag labelled “Runway” while filming later that day.
Following these two sneak peeks, Hathaway was spotted out in New York City on the set of The Devil Wears Prada 2, showing us what Andy’s daily style looks like nearly two decades on.
The actor was first spotted walking down the street in a casual look consisting of a Toteme tank and a denim maxi skirt from Agolde. She wore Velcro Chanel sandals and black sunglasses with the look, keeping it practical and refined. Later on, she was seen in the same sandals, but this time wearing a patchwork denim boiler suit and a black Valentino bag.

The second ensemble leaned more office-core and included a vintage Jean Paul Gaultier pinstripe suit, vest, and matching trousers. This look was styled with heeled boots, black shades, and a few key jewellery pieces.

These looks showcase that the confident and effortless style that Andy managed to cultivate throughout her journey in the first film is still around, and better than ever. If these glimpses are anything to go by, we’re at the very least in for some standout sartorial moments when the film releases on May 1, 2026.
But while outfits and hair transformations have been teased, one scene captured by paparazzi suggests a rather tragic plot twist.
On August 20, Hathaway and Stanley Tucci, who plays the beloved Nigel, were seen filming what looked to be a funeral scene, with the two both dressed in (very chic) all-black ensembles and opaque shades.

While it’s unclear which character may have met their end, a death runs contrary to the books by Lauren Weisberger, meaning we may not be getting the exact sequel penned initially.
