What has happened in the K-drama so far?

Previously, in the 2025 K-drama, shaman Nup Deok narrated the mysterious legend of Gang Cheol to her granddaughter Yeo Ri. Gang Cheol was once a powerful dragon close to ascending to heaven, but after being seen by a human child, he was cursed to live as an Imugi — a vengeful water spirit.

The narrative then shifts to the Joseon era. We learn that Gang Cheol had been pursuing Yeo Ri for 17 years. His goal was to become her guardian angel, which in turn would help him reclaim his dragon form and ascend.

Meanwhile, Yeo Ri loathed Gang Cheol and vowed never to accept his protection. But, when he possessed the body of her childhood love, Yoon Gab, after the latter’s unfortunate death, Yeo Ri agreed to accept Gang Cheol’s proposal.

In episode 5, Gang Cheol and Yeo Ri help their King get rid of the evil fire spirit Paekchowki.

In episode 6, a new water spirit attacks Yeo Ri and curses her. Will Gang Cheol be able to save her?

When will episodes 7 and 8 be released?

Episodes 7 and 8 will be released on 9 and 10 May 2025, respectively.
