According the EdgeProp.my, there are 32 properties for sales at Kampung Sungai Merab Luar in Kajang. So, my wife, Zarina and I decided to take a good look at the said properties. From our home in Putrajaya, we drove down south to Cyberjaya and fetched our youngest granddaughter, Ilyan Faqihah, who had just graduated from the Genius Aulat Preschool and now enjoying end of year holidays awaiting to enroll in 2026 at one of the best primary schools. Well, instead of having breakfast at our normal restaurant in Cyberjaya, we opted to explore authentic traditional food at a popular outlet in Sungai Merab.

Zarina has earlier goggle for ‘Breakfast Spot on the hill’ was recommended the Anjung Hijau Lin Swandee, Sungai Merab. Ilyan enjoyed the cool morning greenery environment & has no problem when we navigated through the laterite road between village homes in search of the hidden wooden breakfast spot. We saw many cars parked nearby the restaurant & customers enjoying their favorite breakfast dishes. We found a good table & examined the menu.

I spotted for its signature ‘ubi (tapioca) rebus’ but was already finished so my next best choice ‘Lempeng Santan’ (coconut pancake) & ‘rendang kerang’ with 2 half boiled eggs. Zarina and Ilyan preferred ‘hot nasi lemak’ and fried chicken to go along with their ‘teh tarik’ & syrup ice. My drink was hot lemon.

No complaint. The service reasonably quick. We enjoyed every bite of our best breakfast dishes. The nice hidden gem to chill on a weekday morning while listening to live music performance. Next time we must come early to grab my favorite kampung ‘ubi rebus’ as it tends to get busier later in the mornings.

After the great breakfast, we continue to explore the list of properties around the neighborhood up for sale that offered real competitive market insights.
