The Legally Blonde prequel trailer just dropped – Here’s everything we know

Fans of the beloved Legally Blonde franchise no longer need to rely on rewatching the films to get their Elle Woods fix, as a brand-new series is on the way. Marking a fresh chapter in the Legally Blonde universe, the show will explore Elle's early years, long before she made her way to Harvard Law School.

There’s not long to wait until the series arrives, and fans have already been given a first glimpse thanks to the newly released official trailer. The preview offers a look at Elle’s high school years and the formative experiences that helped shape her into the pink-loving icon audiences know and love today.

With the trailer now out in the wild, excitement for its release has ramped up as more details about the project have been confirmed. The series, titled Elle, is a Prime Video original and will premiere with all eight episodes on its release date of 1 July 2026. And viewers can already get excited about the next chapter, because a second season has been confirmed ahead of its debut.

When is the Elle release date?
