CEBU CITY — Business leaders, tourism stakeholders and technology advocates are set to gather for The Manila Times Cebu Business and Tourism Forum 2026 on June 23 at the Radisson Blu Cebu, as the province seeks to sustain its growth momentum and strengthen its position as one of the country’s leading economic centers.
Carrying the theme “Padayon Cebu: Accelerating Momentum, Securing Prosperity,” the one-day forum will bring together representatives from the business, real estate, digital transformation, tourism and hospitality sectors to discuss opportunities and challenges shaping Cebu’s future.
The event comes as Cebu continues to attract investments across key industries, driven by a robust tourism sector, expanding infrastructure projects and a growing digital economy. Organizers said the forum aims to foster greater collaboration among stakeholders and identify strategies that will support long-term and inclusive growth.
During a luncheon meeting at Crimson Resort & Spa Mactan, General Manager Mia Singson-Leon welcomed the objectives of the forum, emphasizing the importance of creating platforms that bring attention to the evolving challenges facing Cebu’s business community amid shifting global economic conditions. She also highlighted the strong culture of cooperation among Cebu’s business leaders, noting that collaboration across industries has long been one of the key drivers behind the province’s sustained growth and competitiveness.
The discussions are expected to focus on investment opportunities, tourism development, digital transformation initiatives and infrastructure projects that support economic expansion in Central Visayas.
Ahead of the forum, representatives from The Manila Times led by President and COO Blanca Mercado met with partner organizations in Cebu to finalize preparations for the event. This included visits to Aboitiz Infracapital Cebu Airport Corp., which operates the Mactan International Airport and the Filinvest Hospitality Corp. properties along Mactan Island.
The forum is part of The Manila Times’ continuing efforts to convene industry leaders, policymakers and innovators in discussions on economic development, regional competitiveness and sustainable growth.
