Rory McIlroy has lost the lead in the final round of the Masters with Justin Rose moving clear at Augusta National.
McIlroy held an unprecedented lead at -12 heading into the third round but saw a six-shot at the top of the leaderboard slip away yesterday as Cameron Young surged into contention. An early double bogey for the Northern Irishman has left him with work to do as he seeks to become only the fourth player to win back-to-back green jackets.
Young’s blazing third round of -7 was matched by world No 1 Scottie Scheffler, who started today four shots behind and remains in touch. But it is last year’s runner-up Justin Rose who has made his move to take the outright lead, with Russell Henley playing nicely as he searches for a major breakthrough. Plenty of twists and turns will be in store, though, as the tournament reaches a thrilling conclusion.

Birdies for the last pairing at the eighth
21:28 , Harry Latham-CoyleA birdie apiece for Cameron Young and Rory McIlroy, with the latter failing to find his eagle putt though leaving it dead. Within one of Justin Rose each moves.
Tyrrell Hatton’s rampage may be over courtesy of an errant adventure into the woods beside the 17th fairway.
Creativity!
21:25 , Harry Latham-CoyleThis could go anywhere. A marvellous bit of thinking and shot-making is rewarded as Cameron Young comes back off the backboard having sailed over the flag with his third. So, so clever, and setting up a birdie chance.
Can Rory McIlroy make his eagle, though?
Masters fourth round
21:23 , Harry Latham-CoyleNot that it will be easy: Rory McIlroy absolutely nails a low-iron that bends brilliantly on to the eighth green. It’s a birdie at worst, you’d suggest.
Up ahead on the 11th, Russell Henley leaves a birdie putt an inch or so high. But Tyrrell Hatton has no such issues - it’s ANOTHER for him at 16 and he’s just two back all of a sudden.
Justin Rose extends lead
21:19 , Harry Latham-CoyleBut also on a hot streak is Justin Rose – three in a row for the regular Masters bridesmaid, and a two-shot lead will have belief building that it might finally be his day.
Tyrrell Hatton joins the party!
21:17 , Harry Latham-CoyleWe assumed that Tyrrell Hatton had much too much to do from -4 at the start of the round, but three birdies on the spin out of Amen Corner take him to -9 for the tournament with three holes to play. He’s in the mix!
Rory McIlroy gets one back
21:09 , Harry Latham-CoyleFinally, one drops for Rory McIlroy - back to 10-under with a purposeful stride. A long, long, long way to go...
Justin Rose leads outright!
21:08 , Harry Latham-CoyleA bogey for Cameron Young as a wobbly putt trickles by – Justin Rose leads the Masters!

Cameron Young makes a mishap
21:03 , Harry Latham-CoyleIt might be better than that, you know - Cameron Young makes a misjudgement on the seventh and has a lot of work to do for par.
But Justin Rose goes marching on. Birdie, birdie and on to the ninth.
Justin Rose making a move!
21:02 , Harry Latham-CoyleIt’s just really, really good golf from Justin Rose. Two rock solid shots set up prime position from which to chip, and he sets up another all-but-certain birdie. The co-lead should be his.
Masters round four
20:58 , Harry Latham-CoyleThe sort of drive Rory McIlroy needed, holding a fade against the breeze as it blows from the right and piercing the heart of the fairway. The approach will be straightforward enough, or at least as straightforward as they come at Augusta, but he needs his putter to warm up.
But Cameron Young drops a shot, too
20:54 , Harry Latham-CoyleIt’s not quite as damaging, though: Cameron Young three-putts to match his playing partner and reduce his advantage to one.
Another bogey for Rory McIlroy!
20:52 , Harry Latham-CoyleA snag on the fringe as Rory McIlroy putts up towards the hole, and the par putt doesn’t drop! Down to -9 he tumbles.
Masters round four
20:50 , Harry Latham-CoyleA putt from the fringe almost burgles a birdie for Scottie Scheffler having skewed his tee shot into the trees. He didn’t deserve a four, there, and doesn’t get one as it knocks on the door but is turned away.
A par at the eighth. Scheffler hasn’t really cashed in as he could have done all week on the par fives, which is probably a good job for his rivals.
Cameron Young looking solid
20:46 , Harry Latham-CoyleCameron Young is doing an excellent job of averting dropped shots. He makes another good’un from distance.
The wind is beginning to whip around Augusta. It wasn’t meant to be particularly breezy but the foliage is fluttering and it is causing doubts to swirl.
Masters round four
20:38 , Harry Latham-CoyleRory McIlroy’s putt at the fifth is very similar to that of Justin Rose earlier, but he can’t quite find the same curvature.
Speaking of Rose, a remarkable recovery shot at the seventh leaves him a virtual tap-in for birdie. He’s -10, too.
Russell Henley goes to ten-under
20:35 , Harry Latham-CoyleOn his birthday, Russell Henley is just two back from the lead at the Masters.
Scottie Scheffler keeps on ticking along
20:33 , Harry Latham-CoyleA second sterling save of par from Scottie Scheffler in a handful of holes, keeping him very much in touch.
Rory McIlroy has played a superb approach into the fifth, with Cameron Young off the green for his third shot.
Russell Henley almost holes his chip at eight, which would really have put the cat among the pigeons. The 37-year-old had such a modest major record until recently but he was tied fourth here in 2023.
And a double bogey for...
20:30 , Harry Latham-CoyleShane Lowry, who follows his great mate in making a double. Three shots gone in two holes, and he’s all but out of it now, you’d suggest, at six-under.
Russell Henley is very quietly putting together an excellent round. He absolutely thunders his second shot through the back of the par-five eighth, showing impressive striking capacity. An up-and-down from three, far from unfeasible, will move him alongside McIlroy.
A double bogey for McIlroy!
20:24 , Harry Latham-CoyleRory McIlroy can’t make that par putt - Cameron Young leads on his lonesome once more.
And it’s a double! Oh, Rory, that’s horrible, around the houses and eventually in for a five.
Masters round four
20:21 , Harry Latham-CoyleRory McIlroy almost chips in at the fourth, making the best of a bad situation though still leaving himself a little bit to do for par.
His great mate Shane Lowry catches the lip of a bunker at the fifth having let a shot go a hole previously. A slide down the leaderboard may, alas, beckon.
Justin Rose moves to three back
20:18 , Harry Latham-CoyleHere’s that putt from Justin Rose - a beaut!
Justin Rose converts the lengthy birdie putt on No. 5. #themasters pic.twitter.com/FOoswAGbDL
— The Masters (@TheMasters) April 12, 2026
It's hotting up!
20:15 , Harry Latham-CoyleThe chasing pack are gathering. Justin Rose curls in a gorgeous birdie putt on the fifth to go to nine-under, where Russell Henley will join him after an immaculate approach leaves a kick-in at seven.
Scottie Scheffler isn’t going away, either, draining a par putt save from 15 feet. The heat is on.
Rory McIlroy birdies the third
20:11 , Harry Latham-CoyleRory McIlroy has the same shot that Sam Burns struggled with a few moments ago, though shows his class with a splash of sand revealing a short-range birdie putt.
Cameron Young has left himself something rather tougher. This’ll be quick, and dive from left to right...an ambitious starting line and a nibbly little nudge back the other way will be required to save par.
But he’s already got company. Rory McIlroy birdies the third and moves to -12.
Co-leaders once more.
Cameron Young gets lucky again!
20:03 , Harry Latham-CoyleCameron Young must be at one with nature. It happened three times yesterday and yet again he finds a wayward drive is given a friendly nudge back in the right direction by an arboreal helping hand. His playing partner blasts a much, much better-looking drive but Rory McIlroy will play his second shot from the sand.
Masters round four
20:02 , Harry Latham-CoyleSam Burns was briefly with Young and McIlroy at the top of the charts, but a third shot goes in two holes after twice building sandcastles on the third. Tricky though his bunker shot was, that’s the sort of error you can ill afford if you want to remain in contention deep into the final day.
Cameron Young takes the outright lead!
19:57 , Harry Latham-CoyleWe have an outright leader! Cam Young nearly makes a right hash of his chip at the second but gets away with it, and then buries his putt from a club-face away from where Rory McIlroy’s marker lies. It gives the Northern Irishman a good read, but he starts his putt too far left.
Masters round four
19:55 , Harry Latham-CoyleThe day’s big loser so far of those in contention is Patrick Reed, who has slipped to four under with a couple of early bogeys. Tyrrell Hatton has gone the other way - he takes the turn at seven-under after holing out earlier and will hope to put the pressure on the later starters.
The nerves are starting to show elsewhere. Sam Burns can’t do what Scottie Scheffler and Li Haotong could out of the bunker on three, and ends up back in the sand with his escape only temporary.
Rory McIlroy with a birdie chance
19:52 , Harry Latham-CoyleSmart stuff from Rory McIlroy, punching out of the bunker and then showing his softer side with a wedge in to about 15 feet. A birdie chance.
Masters round four
19:47 , Harry Latham-CoyleIt’s all bubbling up very nicely. Shane Lowry gives himself a great chance to get the shot lost on the first back at the second as he carves out a lovely little low wedge towards the hole. Rory McIlroy thuds his drive into the bunker back down the fairway.
Chairs and their occupants cleared so that he can find his ball, Burns does a decent job with his recovery shot to leave himself a short-ish bogey putt.
Lowry returns to -9; Burns...joins him with an ugly double bogey. Nasty
Sam Burns in trouble
19:43 , Harry Latham-CoyleThere will not be three leaders for long: Sam Burns has run into major bother on two, and overcooks his fourth shot to such an extent that he disturbs a thicket of patrons beyond the green. Work to do even to make a bogey.
Scheffler and Li birdie the third
19:41 , Harry Latham-CoyleBoth Scottie Scheffler and Li Haotong get themselves into and out of danger at the third, extricating themselves from the front left bunker and then rolling home birdie putts. Scheffler is within two of the three leaders, despite failing to find a four at the par-five second.
Pars for final group at the first
19:39 , Harry Latham-CoyleTimid! You can’t do that, Rory, not putting anywhere near enough into a birdie putt up the hill. Tap-in pars for both he and Cam Young.
Sam Burns joins the leaders!
19:33 , Harry Latham-CoyleA wedge in hand for Rory McIlroy as he addresses his second on the first hole...and that’s absolutely perfect, pitching within a bin lid of the flag and pulling up just beyond it. A birdie opportunity, for certain.
Cam Young has 151 yards out of the bunker, his ball standing proud in the sand. That’s useful, too, with a longer length chance at a three nonetheless eminently makeable.
They have company, though – Sam Burns birdied the first and joins the co-leaders.
Masters round four
19:29 , Harry Latham-CoyleAfter a bogey at the first, Li Haotong gets back to where he began with a birdie at two. Shane Lowry has also bogeyed the first, wiping at his forehead in frustration after his par putt dribbles left of the hole.
Rory McIlroy and Cameron Young begin
19:26 , Harry Latham-CoyleRight then – it’s showtime. Our co-leaders are on the tee, each considering their clubs for what could prove a pivotal tee shot to start. It looks like a three wood for the American. And Cameron Young still makes the bunker! Some strike, but too far right and ended up sandy.
Rory McIlroy also shuns the driver. He finds the safe embrace of the fairway.
Justin Rose chips in!
19:18 , Harry Latham-CoyleHello, Rosey! Some start for the Masters nearly-man, a delicate dance up onto the dancefloor and a smooth shimmy into the hole. To nine under he climbs.
Masters round four
19:16 , Harry Latham-CoyleThe penultimate group of the day are ready to tee off, Sam Burns in white chinos and a light blue polo; Shane Lowry all in black.
Burns belts a three wood in the direction of the bunker, but seems to have come up short. How will Lowry fare? A quick pick-up of the tee suggests well, and it’s a pleasant start for the Irishman.
A hole-out eagle for Tyrrell Hatton on seven!
19:13 , Harry Latham-CoyleAaron Rai did it earlier, and now Tyrrell Hatton has followed his compatriot in holing out from the seventh fairway. Too contrasting characters; two identical shots. An eagle gets the combustable Englishman to six under.
Masters round four
19:11 , Harry Latham-CoyleJustin Rose’s approach just scurries off the first green, though it’s not in too bad a spot with an avenue into the area in which the flag sits.
Jason Day has a tougher chip, unable to quite get through the ball enough out of the bunker and coming up short.
Scottie Scheffler birdies the first
19:07 , Harry Latham-CoyleSilence on the tee...but a mighty roar around the green! A birdie three at the first for Scottie Scheffler, picking up where he left off yesterday.
445 yards back down the Augusta plot, Justin Rose and Jason Day get underway having surely heard the statement of intent from the two-time champion.
Masters round four
19:00 , Harry Latham-CoyleScheffler ends up nestled nearly out of the first cut and into the pines, but has the room to carve out an approach...and what an approach that is, lifting it wonderfully with loads of side to spin it back down towards the hole. He’s some golfer. What looked like a poor start now provides a fine opportunity for a fast start.
Li, conversely, wastes perfect position, coming up all of 20 yards short and off the green. Golf, it’s a funny sport.
Scheffler off line to start
18:57 , Harry Latham-CoyleThe silence tells the story on the first tee as Scottie Scheffler loses his opening drive to the right. He’s lucky to end up beyond the bunker but it’ll be a little tricky to access the pin from out there.
No such issues for Li Haotong, who fades his drive perfectly. Off they stroll.
Jake Knapp to -7
18:54 , Harry Latham-CoyleJake Knapp has started birdie, par, birdie, and is beginning to eye the upper reaches of the leaderboard. He’s up alongside compatriot Scheffler and Li at seven under.
Scottie Scheffler gets underway
18:50 , Harry Latham-CoyleA sight to terrify Rory McIlroy and co.: Scottie Scheffler striding purposefully towards the first tee. Scheffler was simply sublime with his irons yesterday and might have been in record-breaking territory if his putter had been just as good. Marry the two today and he might just force the issue, even from four back.
Li Haotong is his final-round partner, just like at Royal Portrush last summer. Happy memories for Scheffler.
Collin Morikawa birdies the first
18:46 , Harry Latham-CoyleThat back is bothering Collin Morikawa a little, but he’s happy enough as he plucks his ball from the first hole after a three. The leaderboard at six-under after Ludvig Aberg looks a little like the middle of an American Ryder Cup team at the moment: Reed, Cantlay, Henley, Morikawa, Knapp. All could well be involved at Adare Manor next year.
Viktor Hovland is no longer part of that bunch. An ugly seven on the 15th sees him slip to -4.
The Masters round four
18:40 , Harry Latham-CoyleXander Schauffele joins the band of Americans at six under, tickling in a putt that sweeps from right to left and into the heart of the hole.
Viktor Hovland slipping
18:37 , Harry Latham-CoyleYikes! It was all going so well for Viktor Hovland but after just about saving par on the 14th, he flies the 15th green by a distance and ends up going for a dip. That’s some 75 yards past the flag, which reflects a total misjudgement and perhaps the adrenaline flowing. He won’t be at six-under much longer.
Marco Penge, meanwhile, has put two in the water on the 12th. A tough education for the Masters rookie as he makes a quad, though a made cut on debut is not to be sniffed at.
Patrick Reed and Collin Morikawa get underway
18:32 , Harry Latham-CoylePatrick Reed is, as one might expect, in red, white and blue today, a Tiger-style polo swaying as he swings his opening drive down the left of the first fairway. Collin Morikawa (-5) begins a shot behind his playing partner having entered the week with a few doubts over the state of his back. That first shot of the round won’t please him, though - into the fairway bunker.
Gary Woodland comes home with a 66
18:27 , Harry Latham-CoyleGary Woodland couldn’t quite finish strongly, bogeying 17 and then needing to scramble rather smartly out of a bunker to salvage par at the last. Still, that’s a very good 66 to finish level par.
Rory McIlroy arrives
18:24 , Harry Latham-CoyleRory McIlroy has just strolled through the doors at Augusta National, looking rather relaxed with an hour or so until his tee time. What will be his mentality today? His driver has been pretty wayward all week, so we’ll see if he changes down at all to the three wood at any point.
Hovland joins Aberg and co.
18:15 , Harry Latham-CoyleViktor Hovland and Ludvig Aberg are together again – a magnificent seven for the former as another birdie putt disappears at the 13th. A raking, rasping shot from the first-cut to make it on to the par five’s green in two. It’s too little, too late, really, from Hovland but this is some round he is putting together. Those two are tied with Patricks Reed and Cantlay and Russell Henley, all of whom are about to get underway in the next wee while.
Masters final round
18:10 , Harry Latham-CoyleGlorious touch from Ludvig Aberg having been off-line with his drive at the third. There seems no way that the Swede can stop his chip by the pin with minimal green to play with, but a delicate little loft pitches perfectly on the upslope. In goes the birdie putt - three on the spin for Aberg and he’s up to six-under after the hottest of starts.
Masters tee times
18:05 , Harry Latham-CoyleThere’s still the best part of an hour until we get into the final four groups, from which we can surely expect our victor to come.
6:52pm BST: Scottie Scheffler; Haotong Li (China)
7:03pm BST: Jason Day (Australia); Justin Rose (England)
7:14pm BST: Sam Burns; Shane Lowry (Ireland)
7:25pm BST: Cameron Young; Rory McIlroy (N. Ireland)
The Masters 2026 fourth round tee times and how to watch on TV
Gary Woodland also having a good day
17:55 , Harry Latham-CoyleSimilarly scoring rather effectively is Gary Woodland, seven-under and back into the red for the tournament. What an emotional win it was for him in Houston a couple of weeks ago - it’s great to see the booming American back to somewhere near his best after all that he has been through.
Gary Woodland secures emotional first win following brain surgery
Viktor Hovland continues to charge
17:48 , Harry Latham-CoyleViktor Hovland just cannot be stopped at the moment. A fourth birdie in five holes arrives at the start of Amen Corner as he drains a long, long, long putt on the 11th - could the course record of 63 be under threat? He’s up to six under for the day, and five-under in the tournament, with a number of birdie chances to come.
Masters round four
17:43 , Harry Latham-CoyleIt looks a glorious day at Augusta, with temperatures up towards 30 degrees and barely a breath of wind to fret about. Lovely.
Can Tyrrell Hatton rebound?
17:35 , Harry Latham-CoyleTyrrell Hatton was paired with Wyndham Clark in a somewhat hot-headed group yesterday, with neither able to really stay in touch with the top of the leaderboard. Hatton will have Ryder Cup colleague Tommy Fleetwood for company today, which might help him. Barring something dramatic, Hatton should finish as the top LIV Golf finisher, for whatever that is worth. Perhaps some bragging rights when the Saudi-backed series resumes in Mexico next week.
Masters final round
17:26 , Harry Latham-CoyleAaron Rai and Charl Schwartzel were the first group out on course, and are three holes from home. Rai started so solidly with a 71 but struggled yesterday, carding a 78 to tumble down the leaderboard. Perhaps the double-gloved Englishman has been able to lean on the 2011 champion for a few tips today.
Viktor Hovland on a heater
17:19 , Harry Latham-CoyleIn fact, that Hovland front nine has just got better – a birdie at the ninth is so nearly an eagle as he spins a clipped approach within an inch or two of the pin. Turning in 31 is rather tidy, though, and takes him up into the top 20 for now.
Up and running
17:11 , Harry Latham-CoyleGood starts to the day for a couple of former Masters champions, with two birdies in the first three holes for both Jordan Spieth and Hideki Matsuyama. They are out of the chase to add to their collection of tailoring but there is prize money up for grabs, of course.
Going particularly well on the front nine is Viktor Hovland: Norway’s foremost alternative thinker has got to three-under as he nears the turn having begun the day the wrong side of par.
Justin Rose out to emulate Rory McIlroy
17:10 , Harry Latham-CoyleJustin Rose is holding out hope he is a late bloomer and can still emulate Ryder Cup team-mate Rory McIlroy and complete the career grand slam.
Time is not on the side of the 45-year-old Englishman, whose solitary major came in the 2013 US Open in Merion, but he is in something of a purple patch in what could kindly be described as the twilight of his career.
Phil Mickelson won the 2021 US PGA Championship at the age of 50, Julius Boros lifted the same title in 1968 aged 48, Jack Nicklaus won the 1986 Masters - the last of his 18 majors - at the age of 46.
Rose's lengthy career has seen him rack up 22 top-10 major finishes; he has been Masters runner-up three times - as recently as last year in a play-off to McIlroy - and twice finished second at the Open Championship.
In the last two years he has finished second twice and joint sixth in eight majors, while also winning on the PGA Tour last year and also this February.
Rose has a consistency and calmness to his game which allows him to function in the high-pressure environment of a major final round and that has given him the belief he can continue to contend.
"Obviously I feel like I come at it from a point where I've achieved a lot in the game," said Rose, whose second-successive 69 on Saturday put him within three of the Masters lead going into the final round.
"I can call myself a major champion, which is nice, but my ultimate goal is to win all four.
"If I look at where I finished seconds in all the other ones, it's not unrealistic to think it's doable.
"Obviously I'm leaving it late, but that would be the ultimate goal for sure."
Elite company within reach
16:55 , Harry Latham-CoyleFaldo is a member of the select group that Rory McIlroy is hoping to join this evening: only he, Tiger Woods and Jack Nicklaus have won back-to-back green jackets.
Who is in contention?
16:45 , Harry Latham-CoyleHow far back is too far back? I think we can safely position Scottie Scheffler as a contender given how he played yesterday and his capacity as a closer in the final round of majors, but has Patrick Reed left himself too much to do from six-under? It would be a surprise if all of those ahead of him slip.
It is 30 years, mind, since Nick Faldo won from six back as Greg Norman capitulated – the difference, of course, was that Faldo entered that dramatic day second on the leaderboard.
Sergio Garcia shatters his driver in Masters meltdown
16:35 , Harry Latham-CoyleOne man not finding the course to his liking is Sergio Garcia. The Spaniard’s drive on the second leaked ever so slightly right and trundled up into that fairway bunker on the par five – a far from horrible shot, you’d say, but Garcia released his frustration nonetheless:
Sergio Garcia shatters his driver in Masters meltdown
How will Augusta play today?
16:25 , Harry Latham-CoyleWe thought scoring might be more modest on Saturday than materialised, with Augusta National opting to soften the surfaces rather than let a dry course toughen up. Will there be plenty of birdies on offer again today? There’s not much of a breeze blowing, it would seem, so the pressure may be the toughest test.

Rory McIlroy heads to the range in search of solutions
16:10 , Harry Latham-CoyleRory McIlroy headed straight to the practice ground range to iron out his problems after surrendering a six-shot lead to leave the defence of his Masters title in the balance.
Twenty-four hours earlier, the Northern Irishman had looked poised to blow the field away after opening up a significant advantage with the biggest 36-hole lead in the tournament's history.
"The course was obviously gettable, there was a lot of good scores out there, and the quality of the chasing pack is obvious," said McIlroy.
"There's a lot of guys in with a chance tomorrow. I'm still tied for the best score going into tomorrow, so I can't forget that, but I do know I'm going to have to be better if I want to have a chance to win.
"I'm in the final group. I just need to go to the range and try to figure it out a little bit."
Masters 2026: Shane Lowry's magic moment and hole-in-one
15:57 , Will CastleHole-in-one specialist Shane Lowry recorded the first ace of this year's Masters tournament at the sixth hole during yesterday’s third round.
The Irishman has quite the collection of ones on his CV and this was his second at Augusta National.
Lowry's tee shot at the 190-yard hole catapulted him to within four of the lead held by close friend Rory McIlroy, having pitched below the hole and taken a couple of bounces before rolling in for only the seventh ace at that hole in the tournament's history.
His previous hole-in-one here came at the 16th in the final round of 2016. It was also his second ace in a month after recording one at March's Texas Children's Houston Open.
He has also aced the 17th at Sawgrass, in 2022, and the short seventh at Pebble Beach, in January 2025, two of the most famous par threes in golf.

Masters 2026: Can Cameron Young emulate McIlroy and Scheffler?
15:50 , Will CastleThe last two winners of the Masters, Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler, won the Players Championship before arriving at Augusta.
Cameron Young, who will take a co-lead into Masters Sunday, won the Players at TPC Sawgrass a few weeks ago.

The biggest threat to Rory McIlroy underlines his weakness at The Masters
15:21 , Ed Malyon at Augusta NationalThe relationship between six-time Masters winner Jack Nicklaus and defending Masters champion Rory McIlroy is close enough that, earlier this week, just before Nicklaus took his tee shot as the honorary starter, the 86-year-old felt fit to dispense some advice to the Ulsterman on how to join the very select group of golfers to defend their title at Augusta.
“No f***ing double bogeys.”
Two days of impeccable golf had given McIlroy the greatest 36-hole lead in Masters history in pursuit of back-to-back green jackets and an exclusive club alongside Nicklaus, Tiger Woods and Sir Nick Faldo. The defending champion sputtered through the front nine on Saturday before coughing up a double-bogey on 11 that saw his overnight lead finally, unbelievably evaporate. Possibly a historic turning point in this Masters tournament.

The Masters day four: LIVE!
15:02 , Will CastleRory McIlroy heads into the final round of the Masters in a share of the lead with Cameron Young after blowing the six-shot advantage he took into the weekend on a dramatic moving day on Saturday.
At -12, McIlroy held an unprecedented lead heading into the third round, as the Northern Irishman bids to become just the fourth man to win the Masters back-to-back, but his healthy position at the top of the leaderboard was wiped out on a wild day at Augusta National.
After his driving woes, he will start on -11, along with Players champion Young, after the American caught fire and joined the defending champion at the top just as McIlroy found the water and made a double-bogey-six on the 12th, followed by another bogey on the 13th.
Young’s blazing round of -7 was matched by world No 1 Scottie Scheffler, who will start today four shots behind, with Shane Lowry and last year’s runner-up Justin Rose also in firm contention. Lowry produced the moment of the third round with a hole-in-one on the 6th.
