It has been an electrifying start to the English Premier League, with goals galore (other than those drab 0-0 draws between a misfiring Chelsea and Crystal Palace, and between an Isak-less Newcastle United and Aston Villa). The other European Leagues have also played their first games, and we’re all looking forward to the return of league football, especially after a particularly intriguing transfer window that has seen the likes of Viktor Gyökeres move to Arsenal merely two years after playing for minnows Coventry City, German wunderkind Florian Wirtz join defending champions Liverpool in a blockbuster £107 million move, and Slovenian hitman Benjamin Šeško rejected some of Europe’s biggest suitors to join grossly underperforming Manchester United. What we’re also looking forward to are the new football jerseys the clubs have unveiled for this 2025/2026 season. There have been some truly stylish jerseys unveiled during and ahead of opening day as football merchandising reaches new heights. We pick five of our favourites.

5 football jerseys you won’t embarrassed to wear for the 2025/2026 season

Manchester United’s Home Jersey

You can’t go wrong with sticking to the brand DNA: the red of passion, determination and fire that most who have witnessed Manchester United’s Alex Ferguson era to associate with the team. The new black-and-white V-neck collar and Adidas three stripes adds some flair to proceedings, something many fans hope will be mirrored on the pitch this season, especially after last season’s historically low-scoring output. Even the font takes a devilish turn, with sharp edges reminiscent of the pitchfork of the Red Devil on the club’s crest.

The jersey also pays homage to the team’s home: Old Trafford. It can be best seen in the abstract sleeve graphic, coming in different shades of red showcasing elements of the pitch, stands and tunnel of Old Trafford. The stadium’s nickname, The Theatre of Dreams, is printed at the back of the collar in a stylised font.

Manchester United will be closely watched this season. The former giants have taken quite a fall from grace, finishing last season at 15th, their worst placing since 1974. Nevertheless, they did challenge for honours, losing to Tottenham Hotspurs in the UEFA Europa League final. This season, they’ve added some much-needed firepower with Bryan Mbuemo and Matheus Cunha joining Šeško. How quickly they settle in and form a potent attacking understanding will shape United’s, and manager Ruben Amorim’s, fortunes.

But if anybody wants to be scrutinised closely, it’ll be wearing the blood red of Manchester United.

Real Madrid’s Home Jersey

By their own lofty standards, Real Madrid had a terrible time last season despite winning the UEFA Super Cup, finishing second in La Liga and Copa del Rey and getting knocked out of the UEFA Champions League at the Quarter Finals by Arsenal. This happened on a season when they acquired one of global football’s biggest names, Kylian Mbappé. This season, they’ve firmed up their defence with new signings Dean Huijsen and Álvaro Carreras. But the blockbuster signing has to be Trent Alexander-Arnold, one of the most technically gifted right-backs in the game, who should be able to add new dimensions to Real Madrid’s build-up play and potency from dead-ball situations.

To match the hope and anticipation of this coming season, they’ve unveiled a new home kit this season. Much like Manchester United’s above, the new Real Madrid home jersey is a sophisticated tribute that connects the club’s history with its future. It features subtle metallic accents and textures inspired by the old and new Bernabéu Stadium. A prominent design detail is the bold yellow piping that runs from the club’s crest, linking the jersey to the team’s shared identity across different eras. The kit is finished with a modern crew-neck collar and custom-ribbed cuffs, ensuring a clean, athletic look that honors the club’s legacy. The all-white aesthetic is completed with matching white shorts and socks, both trimmed in a dark grey for a truly regal appearance.

As expected from an Adidas jersey, the on-field version of the jersey is constructed using advanced materials to maximize air flow to keep players feeling cool, while the fan version uses sweat-wicking and absorbent materials to keep the body feeling dry.

Liverpool Home Jersey

The reigning English Premier League champions kept it simple last year, despite Arne Slot coming in to replace the legendary Jurgen Klopp. Slot inherited a formidable team that hasn’t won the league since before COVID, fast-tracked Dutch youngster Ryan Gravenberch into a world-class holding midfielder, pushed Mohamed Salah beyond his already impressive limits and then stormed to the Merseyside club’s first league title since 2019. Simple.

The new Liverpool FC Home jersey similarly keeps it seemingly simple, and presents the club’s DNA in its purest form, with a dark strawberry red colourway forming the base of the jersey and the adidas three stripes in white running down the sleeves. The classic Liver Bird crest is emblazoned on the chest, while a clean-cut crew-neck collar gives the silhouette a modern, athletic look. Bespoke ribbing on the cuffs adds a nice, subtle break from form, ensuring elements of niftiness in an otherwise run-of-the-mill Liverpool jersey.

It’s simple, but sometimes, simple works wonders.

Bayern Munich’s Third Kit

Bayern Munich are hoping to build from the success of last season, when they reclaimed the Bundesliga from upstarts Bayer Leverkusen, who won the title the season before under the leadership of Xabi Alonso (who has since left for Real Madrid). Last season was former Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany’s first season as Head Coach at Bayern Munich (and only his fifth overall as a Manager or Head Coach), but the Belgian is very rapidly developing his footballing identity, and we are starting to see it on the pitch as well. This year, they’ve added more firepower to their attack in the form of former Liverpool winger Luis Diaz. How he’ll link up with the likes of Serge Gnabry, Jamal Musiala, Michael Olise and England Captain Harry Kane will determine their fortunes in the Bundesliga, and more importantly, in the UEFA Champions League.

If it clicks, then this could be the most potent, most audacious attacking force in Europe. To match this, Bayern Munich has unveiled perhaps the coolest third kit in Europe. The kit was designed as part of a three-way collaboration between Adidas, Bayern Munich and Munich-based streetwear brand BSTN. The design revives the classic Trefoil logo, blending adidas’s historic legacy in football with the rising influence of fashion in the sport. The jersey honors the club’s Munich heritage by paying tribute to Marienplatz, the central square where Bayern celebrates its major victories.

The kit’s black base features a checkered embossing, with dark green and red square patterns on the collar and cuffs. The design includes subtle details that highlight the club’s success, such as a “Greetings from the town hall balcony” loop label on the hem. The football jerseys also brings back the 1920s club crest in an off-white color, matching the adidas logo and the three stripes on the sleeves for a fashionable and modern aesthetic.

To further honor the club’s local roots, the interior neckline is inscribed with the phrase “From The South, From The Heart,” celebrating the shared passion of adidas, Bayern, and BSTN for sports and the Munich community. The look is completed with an “FCBM” sign-off on the back of the collar. The jersey will be paired with black shorts and off-white socks, both featuring complementary trim and lettering that echo the design of the shirt.

Arsenal’s Away Jersey

We may be biased because the global unveiling for Arsenal’s new away jersey happened right here in Singapore (we even got an interview with former Arsenal midfielder Ray Parlour in the process), but you cannot deny how electrifyingly eye-catching it is.

The football jerseys feature a fresh take on the iconic lightning bolt design which has become synonymous with Arsenal away kits of the past. This in itself draws inspiration from the famous Royal Arsenal Gatehouse lightning bolt. The navy jersey is adorned with metallic detailing and the sleeves feature the iconic adidas Three Stripes in red, adding a pop of colour and vibrancy.

Hopefully, with these football jerseys, Arsenal can overcome its away woes and finally shed their tag as perennial second-best.
