In the lull between the major Fashion Weeks, the Cruise 2026 season has officially kicked off, starting with Chanel. On April 29, the French luxury house staged a fashion show at the luxurious Villa d’Este hotel on Lake Como. The show’s celebrity guests were dressed for the sunny, balmy weather. Thai singer and actress Ally Nitibhon, who was just recently named as a Chanel brand ambassador, wore a pleated white blouse and a flowing skirt. Keira Knightley, who is back in the spotlight thanks to the re-release of the classic romantic film Pride and Prejudice, arrived in a white gown featuring bell sleeves, a pearl-embellished belt and big, black bows on the front.
Fellow Hollywood actresses Lupita Nyong’o and Margaret Qualley opted for tweed ensembles. Balancing structure with lightness, Nyong’o’s black tweed jacket was paired with a tulle skirt—a look from Chanel’s Fall/Winter 2025 show. She also accessorised her updo with a shiny double C logo hair clip. Qualley, meanwhile, wore a familiar summer ensemble: a minidress (with pockets!) and a pair of two-tone Chanel slingbacks.
To keep the sun out of their eyes, many of the stars at Chanel’s glitzy fashion show also donned a pair of sunglasses from the fashion brand’s newly unveiled Spring/Summer 2025 eyewear collection. Sure, nobody looked as cool as Kendrick Lamar, but you can’t blame them for trying.
