The Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra (MPO) is set to return with the next chapter of the Harry Potter Film Concert Series, bringing Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban in Concert to Dewan Filharmonik PETRONAS this April.
Taking place from 2 to 5 April 2026, the performances will feature the MPO performing the film’s full score live while the movie is screened in high definition on a 40-foot screen.
A Cinematic Concert Experience
Conducted by Gerard Salonga, the concert blends cinema and live music, offering audiences a fully immersive experience. As the film unfolds, the orchestra will bring to life John Williams’ award-nominated score, known for its rich orchestration and memorable themes.
The format allows fans to rediscover the film in a new way, where every musical cue is performed in real time, enhancing the emotional and cinematic impact.
A Global Phenomenon
Created by Warner Bros. Discovery Global Experiences and CineConcerts, the Harry Potter Film Concert Series is the only official global concert tour dedicated to the franchise.
Since its debut in 2016, the series has attracted more than three million fans worldwide, with thousands of performances staged across over 48 countries.
Revisiting a Fan-Favourite Chapter
The third film in the series follows Harry, Ron, and Hermione as they return to Hogwarts and encounter new challenges, including the mysterious Sirius Black and the ominous Dementors.
Widely regarded as one of the most atmospheric entries in the franchise, The Prisoner of Azkaban combines darker storytelling with a distinctive musical score that has become a standout in the series.

Tickets for Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban in Concert are now available, with prices ranging from RM399 to RM649.
The performances will be held at Dewan Filharmonik PETRONAS, KLCC, offering fans in Malaysia a rare opportunity to experience the magic of the wizarding world through live orchestral performance.
