- Six Flags has announced plans for Bakunawa, a new thrill ride inspired by Philippine folklore, slated to open at the Shoreline Pier in New Jersey in 2027.
- Bakunawa is projected to break world records as the tallest and fastest spinning rollercoaster, featuring the first free-spinning, floorless coaster vehicles.
- The ride will ascend 382 feet and reach speeds of up to 100 mph along a 3,163-foot track, offering an unpredictable experience as its trains rotate naturally.
- Each adventure will last approximately two minutes and 17 seconds, accommodating 20 riders per train with a minimum height requirement of 48 inches.
- This new attraction will replace the park's former record-holder, Kingda Ka, and follows the recent debut of the Tormenta Rampaging Run at Six Flags Over Texas.
