
Kota Kinabalu: “The V” by Jesselton is an exciting new development that reflects our shared vision for a more vibrant, attractive, and globally connected Sabah, says State Minister of Tourism, Culture and Environment Datuk Seri Christina Liew.
Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony along Jalan Tun Fuad Stephens, here, on Monday, she said this ambitious project is not only a step forward for urban development in Kota Kinabalu, but also a meaningful contribution to our tourism and investment landscape. “With its modern, integrated concept comprising three blocks of commercial short-stay condominiums, a corporate office tower, and a new retail experience – all fronting the breathtaking Likas seafront – “The V” is poised to become a key destination for both locals and international visitors.
“What makes ‘The V’ particularly timely and relevant is its alignment with the ‘Sabah My Second Home’ (SM2H) programme. We believe this project will attract not only domestic interest, but also foreign investors and long-stay tourists who are looking for high-quality living spaces in a serene yet strategic location,” Liew said.
The Minister, who is also Chairman of the State SM2H Committee, stressed that with developments like “The V”: “We are not just building structures as we are building communities, creating opportunities, and enhancing the overall appeal of Sabah as a world-class destination.”“I congratulate Jesselton International Group on their vision and investment confidence. Your contribution plays a crucial role in supporting our tourism goals and economic development.

Liew noted that Sabah continues to grow as an international destination, with direct air connectivity from China, South Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore, Indonesia and Peninsular Malaysia.
“This connectivity, combined with our rich natural beauty, cultural diversity, and growing infrastructure, offers great potential to attract long-term visitors and new residents alike,” she added.
Deputy Chief Minister II cum Minister of Local Government and Housing Datuk Seri Dr Joachim Gunsalam officiated at the groundbreaking ceremony.
