Kelsey Parker, the widow of late The Wanted singer Tom Parker, has given birth following the previous stillbirth of her baby.
The author and podcaster shared the news on Instagram, uploading a photograph of the newborn’s arm beside a sign reading "River".
She captioned the image: "Welcome to the world, River. Our little bit of hope."
A number of well-known figures sent messages of congratulations, including TV presenter Susanna Reid, The Saturdays singer Rochelle Humes, and reality television star Holly Hagan-Blyth.
Humes said: "Congratulations angel."
Reid posted: "Oh my goodness – this is so wonderful – welcome River."
Hagan-Blyth added: "I am so happy for you."
Parker, who has two children with her late husband following his death in 2022 at age 33 from an inoperable brain tumour, had previously spoken about the loss of her son, Phoenix, with partner Will on ITV’s Good Morning Britain.
She explained that Phoenix was born at home at 39 weeks into pregnancy after a labour lasting only minutes, leaving no time for a midwife to arrive.
Recalling the events, she told the show: "You could just see that he was no longer with us. Obviously, straight away we called the ambulance. They took nine minutes to come, and just when they arrived… the only way I can describe it, it was like I was in a film, and this wasn’t real, and it wasn’t happening to me."
She recounted how police informed her that her home was a "crime scene" and took Phoenix away, leaving her to wait at a maternity unit surrounded by newborns.
Police subsequently apologised to Parker, noting that the attending paramedics had never encountered a stillborn baby.
She announced her pregnancy in May with an Instagram video revealing a baby scan.
Writing at the time, she said: "A year ago next month, we lost our beautiful baby boy, Phoenix. And somehow, through all the heartbreak, it feels like Tom and Phoenix have sent us another little gift from heaven, our little rainbow baby."
