Lego has announced its first ever fully functional pinball machine set, bringing classic arcade gameplay into brick-built form. Dubbed the Lego Icons Arcade Pinball Machine, it combines retro gaming nostalgia with the brick company’s signature building experience, resulting in what is perhaps their most interactive display sets to date.
Comprising of 2,274 pieces, the Lego Icons Arcade Pinball Machine isn’t just a static model. Once assembled, it functions as an actual tabletop pinball machine complete with a spring-powered ball launcher, dual flippers, spinning bumpers and an up-and-over ramp bridge. Players can launch the ball and score points across a space-themed playfield inspired by classic arcade machines.
Adding a playful narrative element to the gameplay, the machine features a mission where players help reunite a stranded astronaut with a space-roving baby astronaut. Hitting a key asteroid target advances progress through the mission, while an integrated progress bar can be reset for repeated play sessions.
Further adding to the space theme are two minifigures: a classic space astronaut and the fan-favourite ‘space baby’ astronaut. The finished build is designed to serve both as a playable model and a display piece, making it suitable for a home office, gaming room or collector’s shelf.
According to Lego, the Arcade Pinball Machine was created with adult builders and fans of vintage arcade games in mind. The design takes inspiration from retro arcade cabinets while incorporating working mechanical features built entirely from Lego elements.
Builders can also make use of the Lego Builder app during assembly. The app provides interactive 3D instructions that allow users to zoom, rotate and track their progress throughout the build process.
The Lego Icons Arcade Pinball Machine will be available through Lego Insiders Early Access starting 1 July 2026, before becoming available to the general public on 4 July 2026 via Lego Stores and Lego.com with a retail price of RM899.
