Kota Kinabalu: Head of State Tun Musa Aman and Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor joined thousands of Sabahans at the Sabah Day celebration at Dataran Bandaraya here on Monday night.
The celebration began with a proclamation speech by Musa, followed by a flag-raising ceremony and various performances.
The programme featured a laser light show, choir performance by the Male-Efficient group, performances by local artistes, a special montage and a rendition of Sabah Tanah Airku.
A Sabah Day-themed procession was also held as part of the celebration.
Also present were Deputy Chief Minister II Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun, who chaired the Main Organising Committee, State Secretary Datuk Zainudin Aman, State Cabinet ministers and elected representatives.
