BUKIT MERTAJAM - Thousands have thronged the Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Penang Campus located in Permatang Pauh for the Prime Minister's Malaysia Madani Open House 2023.
Some 20,000 people, comprising locals as well as people from Penang and Kedah, are expected to attend the grand open house, which will go on until 2pm today.
About 31 booths, comprising eight agency exhibitions and 23 food stalls, were arranged to provide a variety of Malaysian delicacies, including satay, a variety of drinks, traditional pastries, nasi impit, ketupat, and rendang.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is expected to arrive at noon, followed by Yang di-Pertua Negeri Tun Ahmad Fuzi Abdul Razak and his wife, Toh Puan Khadijah Mohd Nor.
Among other notable figures who will be present are Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow, several ministers, and other state leaders.
