
TAWAU: Three men, including a 15-year-old teenager, have been arrested by the police on suspicion of raping a teenage girl who had been reported missing since last Friday before being found safe in Kampung Jawa, here, on Tuesday.
District police chief ACP Jasmin Hussin said the suspects, aged between 15 and 29, were arrested at several locations between 9pm and midnight on the same day the victim was found.
He said the arrests were made following the victim's statement, which revealed that she had been raped by three men known to her.
Jasmin added that all the suspects are now being held in remand for seven days, starting Wednesday.
