Police arrested three local men aged between 64 and 74 during a raid on an illegal cockfighting and gambling ring at Kampung Sarapung Kolopis on Sunday.
Acting on a tip-off, officers from the Penampang District Criminal Investigation Division conducted the operation around 4.30pm, catching the suspects in the act while several others fled the scene.
Police also seized four live roosters, three cages, a makeshift fighting ring, and RM319 in cash.

“We urge the public to come forward with information on criminal activities to help maintain community safety,” he said.
