THREE doctors attending to former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad have drawn attention as Malaysians continue to pray for his recovery.
Public Health Malaysia (PHM), in a Facebook post, shared a photograph of the three doctors with Mahathir, saying they were among the medical personnel closely monitoring his condition and attending to his medical needs.
The doctors, who are Malay, Chinese and Indian, were described by PHM as reflecting the country’s multiracial society.
“It is as though these three doctors are representing all Malaysians,” PHM said.
“At a time when the whole country is concerned about Tun’s condition, they are among those closest to him, monitoring him and ensuring he receives the best possible care.”
PHM also highlighted the doctors’ attention to hygiene, including regular hand sanitisation to reduce the risk of infection while carrying out their duties.
The group expressed its appreciation to the doctors for their commitment and care towards Mahathir.
“Thank you, our doctors. Thank you for caring for Tun with dedication and compassion as healthcare professionals.
