BEAUFORT: Three houses and a grocery store in Kg Rancangan Klias were razed on Tuesday, said Fire and Rescue Station Chief Muhammad Hasbullah Nenggok.
Firemen received the fire call at 2.27pm and rushed to the scene.
Six members of the Volunteer Fire Brigade, with one machine helped to extinguish the fire.
When the firefighters arrived, they found that the fire had spread to three houses and a grocery store.
“Two semi-permanent type houses was totally destroyed while another house was 30 per cent burnt while a grocery store was burnt 10 per cent destroyed,” he said
No casualties were reported.
