A ceasefire between Israel and the Lebanese militia Hezbollah formally remains in place.
After several setbacks, the truce has been largely upheld by both sides in recent days. Israeli forces, however, continue to operate in southern Lebanon and regularly carry out strikes in the area.
Meanwhile, Israeli drones were seen flying at low altitude over Beirut and its suburbs throughout Thursday, drawing the attention of residents in the Lebanese capital. The Israeli military did not immediately explain the heightened aerial activity.
Lebanon's state news agency NNA also reported that Israeli forces had burned down houses in the border village of Ain Arab. Residents had reportedly been ordered to leave the area on Wednesday. The Israeli military did not immediately comment on the report.
