
Kota Kinabalu: Three men were separately charged at the Magistrate’s Court, Friday, with drugs trafficking.
Azwan Abdullah, Amir Taung, both undocumented and Norhajim Iskamil were brought before Magistrates Lovely Natasha Charles, Jessica Ombou Kakayun and Stephanie Sherron Abbie.
Azwan was accused of trafficking 1,050gm of syabu at 10.30am at the consignment reception desk at J&T Express CDC 301 Kepayan, Jalan Lintas Kepayan, here.
Amir, a 23-year-old labourer, allegedly trafficked 50.47gm of syabu at 12.30pm on June 27 at the hillside open land of Kg Lok Buno, Sepanggar.

No plea was recorded from them as the offence against them under Section 39B(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act is under the High Court’s purview.
The charge carries a punishment of either the death penalty or life in prison and whipping with a minimum of 15 strokes, on conviction.
Magistrate Lovely who heard Azwan’s case, fixed Aug 4 for mention.
Magistrate Jessica set Aug 3 for mention of Amir’s case while Magistrate Stephanie set Sept 9 for Norhajim’s case.
Earlier, the prosecution applied for a new mention dates pending the chemist’s reports and offered no bail as the charge against them have no provision for one.
The accused were ordered to be remanded further. Inspectors Kelvan Elson Maik, Albert Basiri and Suzie @ Stephanie Kupit prosecuted.
