Although the Red Devils fans mourned their loss in their recent match against ASEAN All-Stars, it was a heroic night to remember, with the crowds chanting along and decked in red, it was quite the scene. But did you know that this was not their first rodeo in Malaysia?

Manchester United made their first appearance in Malaysia in 1981, marking the beginning of a long-standing relationship with their Malaysian fans. Red dominated Merdeka stadium as the roaring fans witnessed history being made as the legendary English football club played on Malaysian soil for the first time.

The heated match featured World Cup players, Martin Buchan, Lou Macari, and Joe Jordan as they faced the Malaysian Selections on the field. The game was much more than a football match to the fans at the time.
