Thunderstorm warning in seven states, KL, Putrajaya until 7pm today

KUALA LUMPUR - The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a thunderstorm, heavy rain and strong winds warning for seven states and the Federal Territories of Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya until 7pm today

In a statement today, MetMalaysia said the states involved are Kedah, Perak, Pahang, Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka and Johor.

In Kedah, the areas expected to be affected are Sik, Baling and Kulim, while in Perak, it involves Larut, Matang and Selama, Hulu Perak, Kuala Kangsar, Kinta, Kampar, Bagan Datuk, Hilir Perak, Batang Padang and Muallim.

In Pahang, the areas affected are Cameron Highlands, Lipis, Jerantut and Kuantan, while in Selangor, it involves Hulu Selangor, Gombak, Petaling, Hulu Langat and Sepang.

A similar warning was also issued for Negeri Sembilan involving Seremban, Port Dickson, Kuala Pilah, Rembau and Tampin; Melaka and Johor involving Kluang, Mersing, Pontian, Kulai, Kota Tinggi and Johor Bahru. - BERNAMA
