MetMalaysia forecasts thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds in Perak, Kelantan, Pahang, Selangor, Sabah, and Sarawak today.
KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a thunderstorm warning for six states.
The alert, valid until 7 pm today, forecasts thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds in Perak, Kelantan, Pahang, Selangor, Sabah, and Sarawak.
In Perak, the affected districts are Kerian, Larut, Matang and Selama, Hulu Perak, Kuala Kangsar, Kinta, Perak Tengah, Kampar, Hilir Perak, Batang Padang and Muallim.
The warning also covers Jeli and Gua Musang in Kelantan.
Affected areas in Pahang include Cameron Highlands, Lipis and Raub, while Hulu Selangor is the sole district affected in Selangor.
In Sabah, the interior district of Nabawan and Tawau are expected to experience the severe weather.
