Tiger kills dog, its owner in Russia's Khabarovsk region

VLADIVOSTOK - A man who followed the tracks of a tiger that had killed his dog was also attacked and killed by the predator in Russia's Khabarovsk region, local media reported on Monday.

The incident occurred on Monday near a forest area not far from the village of Obor in the Khabarovsk region.

"The body of the man with signs of animal impact was found at the scene," said an official from the regional investigative committee.

There are about 750 Amur tigers in Russia today. - XINHUA
