The former Newcastle striker was at St James' Park for Newcastle's defeat to Liverpool.
Asprilla was seen at the end of the game chatting with fellow Colombian and Liverpool star Luis Diaz.
Liverpool came from a man and a goal down to win 2-1 thanks to two late goals from Darwin Nunez.
