TNBX has deployed another TNB Electron EV charger in Johor Bahru. Following its recent deployment at Aeon Taman Universiti, the Charge Point Operator (CPO) has just turned on another EV charger at Aeon Mall Bandar Dato’ Onn, which is about 20km away.
Similar to other Aeon Mall deployments, the TNB Electron location at Aeon Mall Bandar Dato’ Onn has a 47kW Autel MaxiCharger DC unit with two CCS2 nozzles.
This charger is capable of pushing 47kW when one EV is plugged in or up to 23kW when two EVs are charging simultaneously. While it isn’t blazing fast, the charging rate is ideal for shoppers who intend to spend about an hour at the mall.
The charger costs RM1.35 per kWh and you’ll have to activate it via the Go To-U app. Users can reserve the charging bay in advance by prebooking the time slot via the app before arriving. Take note that you’ll need to reload the Go To-U wallet before you can start charging or make a reservation.
TNB Electron offers free EV charging until Friday
As usual, TNBX is offering free EV charging for a limited time for its new charger deployments. The 47kW DC Charger at Aeon Mall Bandar Dato’ Onn is available for free starting today at 3:00pm on 23rd January until 11:59pm on 24th January 2024.
