MANILA, Philippines — Jordan Heading and Rey Nambatac sparkled in the second half to lead TNT to a come-from-behind 99-96 win, booting Meralco out in Game 5 of their Philippine Cup semifinal series and advancing to the Finals on Wednesday at the Araneta Coliseum.

Heading poured 17 of his 31 points in the last two quarters, while Nambatac had 11 of his 25 to help the Tropang 5G overcome a five-point deficit inside the last 27 seconds to finish off the Bolts in five games.

TNT reached the Philippine Cup finals for the fifth time since 2020.

The loss put to waste Meralco sophomore CJ Cansino’s career night as he finished with 36 points as he valiantly tried to carry the fight for the Bolts who played minus injured wingman Chris Newsome.
