DEFENDING champion TNT and San Miguel Beer shoot for crucial wins when they battle separate foes as the second round of the PBA Season 50 Governors’ Cup continues on Saturday at the Ynares Center in Montalban, Rizal.
The Tropang 5G are still licking their wounds following a 83-88 setback to unbeaten NLEX Road Warriors.
That game features new NLEX coach Jimmy Alapag facing off with his long-time TNT and Gilas Pilipinas coach Chot Reyes.
The loss dropped TNT to an even 3-3 record, good for third spot. A loss could dampen the Tropang 5G’s bid of a top 4 finish in Group A.
The Tropang 5G welcomed back big man Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser who registered 13 points against NLEX. The Filipino American missed the team’s first five games due to ankle injury.
His return will be a timely tonic for TNT, which goes up against Titan Ultra at 5:15 p.m.
The Beermen, currently occupying second spot at 4-2, clash with the Macau Giant Pandas at 7:30 p.m.
Titan Ultra enters the game sharing the cellar with Macau at 2-5.
