A wild boar collided with a pram in the southern Polish city of Kraków, injuring a 13-month-old girl, police said.
The toddler, who had been lying in the pram, had to be taken to hospital with head injuries, the PAP news agency reported on Friday, citing the police. Her injuries are not life-threatening.
Initial media reports had said an aggressive wild boar had attacked the pram without warning on Thursday on a footpath in the city's Kliny district.
A crisis team convened by Kraków city authorities met on Friday to discuss possible safety measures. During the meeting, it emerged that the wild boar had not rammed the pram unprovoked.
Apparently, a herd of wild boars had been startled by a dog and had fled onto the footpath, where they happened to cross paths with a mother pushing a pram.
