Tom Pelphrey made sure to thank his “very pregnant” fiancée, Kaley Cuoco, during his acceptance speech for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series at the 2026 Emmy Awards.
Pelphrey, 43, won the award Monday night for his role as Robbie Prendergrast in HBO’s critically acclaimed crime drama, Task.
Getting up on stage, the actor began by saying: “I thank god for my life and my sobriety. I thank my family and my friends for all your love and support all these years, from Emmys to black box theaters and everything in between.”
He went on to thank HBO executives and his co-stars, including “the beautiful Mark Ruffalo,” adding, “Thank you for this incredible role and this opportunity and your friendship. I’m so proud to be your friend.”
Finally, Pelphrey paid tribute to “my favorite actor in this room — my love, my best friend, my partner, the very pregnant Kaley Cuoco.”
“I love you more than anything, and our family is the crown jewel of my life,” Pelphrey told the Big Bang Theory star, who was shown weeping in the audience.
Referencing their three-year-old daughter, Matilda, and the baby girl he and Cuoco, 40, are expecting, Pelphrey concluded: “Matilda, daddy loves you. Baby girl, daddy loves you. Thank you. God bless.”
Cuoco was again shown saying “I love you” while in floods of tears.
The couple announced their engagement on Instagram in August 2024, a year after Matilda was born. They have been dating since 2022.
Announcing her second pregnancy in June, Cuoco shared on Instagram: “Completing our little family , what a dream come true ! This second time around journey has been a little windier in many ways , but wow we are so grateful for this moment!! Little sissy on the way!!! @tommypelphrey girl dad for life.”
Cuoco revealed back in 2022 that they were set up by their mutual manager, Andrea Pett-Joseph, who thought they would be “perfect for each other.”
When they later met in person at the Ozark premiere (in which Pelphrey starred as Ben Davis), Cuoco said it was “love at first sight.”
“I heard his voice, and I turned around, and it was like my life was over, or just starting,” she recalled USA Today. “We were immediately connected. I do feel like I’ve known him my whole life, but I wasn't ready for him.”
“We’re ready to build a life together,” she added.
Cuoco has previously been married twice, to tennis player Ryan Sweeting from 2013 to 2016 and equestrian show jumper Karl Cook from 2018 to 2022.
