Tommy Fleetwood is one of the biggest and most popular names who plays a part in TGL.
Fleetwood is part of the Los Angeles Golf Club and always thoroughly enjoys his TGL outings.
His Los Angeles team are currently in the TGL finals against Tiger Woods’ Jupiter links side.
Fleetwood, Justin Rose and Sahith Theegala got off to a great start on Monday night in the best-of-three TGL final match-up, defeating Jupiter by a scoreline of 6-5.
It’s fair to say that Fleetwood has been in truly unbelievable form over the past 12 months or so.
And Los Angeles Golf Club will need him to be at his very best if they are to topple Woods’ resurgent Jupiter links team.
Tommy Fleetwood’s comments on TGL suggest it’s here to stay
Despite the thrilling clash between LA and Jupiter on Monday night, there are still question marks regarding whether TGL actually has a future.
Do golf fans really care about TGL? Are TGL offering a product that young fans actually want to see?
Well, Fleetwood’s latest comments suggest that TGL is almost certainly here to stay.
When speaking after Monday night’s clash with Jupiter, the one-time PGA Tour winner highlighted just how much the series means to every single player.

“I don’t know what the score was in the first match, but I feel like we got away with one today,” Fleetwood admitted.
“They’re a good team. They’re a tough team. I feel like I want to give them a lot of credit for, like, the unit that they are.
“I was watching them when Kis was over that chip shot on the last, and I was sort of watching them before he hit it and I loved how much it meant to them and how they were as a team.
“So again, I love the opportunity to play guys like that. It means so much to them. It means so much to us. It’s great to go against them like that.“
The fact that each and every shot means so much to every player competing in TGL tells us all we need to know.
Tommy Fleetwood shares LA’s TGL strategy
Fleetwood was asked whether LA’s strategy will change in the second match of the finals, given that they hold a one-game lead in the three-match series.
“I know what we’ll do. We’ll play the match like it’s just a regular match,” Fleetwood said.
“I think we’ve been on a great run of wins. I remember stood here when we won — I can’t remember which game it was, and apparently we had the lowest likelihood of making the playoffs and we’d won maybe two games in a row or whatever it was.
“I think we’ve been on a great run, and I think we continue to win. I think we’ve won by playing great.
“I think we’ve won by playing poor, and I think we just prepare to play the match tomorrow and just play how we have done and go out there with the right intentions.“
Game two starts tonight at The SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
If Fleetwood and his LA team win the match, they will be crowned TGL champions for the first time.
