MANILA, Philippines — Rafa Nadal's uncle and former coach Toni was spotted giving input to Filipino tennis ace Alex Eala during her US Open practice match against 4-time major champ Naomi Osaka on Sunday in Manila.
"Uncle Toni" is the former director and now ambassador of the Rafa Nadal Academy, where Eala graduated and her coach Joan Bosch came from.
Toni was also seen working with Eala on her serve.
World No. 18 Eala will begin her US Open campaign against American Mary Stoiana on September 2.
