TOP Line Business Development Corp. (Topline) through subsidiary Light Fuels Corp. has signed an agreement with V-Green Charging Stations Philippines Inc. to install electric vehicle (EV) charging and battery swapping stations across its network.
The partnership aims to transform the Light Fuels’ retail network into a multi-energy platform to accommodate the growing number of EV drivers in the Visayas, the company said on Friday.
“This strategic move aims to make our core fuel business future-ready in the current energy landscape,” Topline Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Brigitte Carmel Lapasaran Lim said in a statement.
“We are optimistic of our partnership with V-Green aimed at capturing EV customers, and addressing service gaps by providing a multi-energy platform supporting both traditional fuels and electric mobility solutions,” she added.
Under the memorandum of understanding (MOU), the Topline Group will allocate designated spaces for EV charging and battery-swapping facilities across six key Light Fuels stations in Cebu, Mandaue, and Lapu-Lapu, including spaces at Pier88 and Bay Mall in Liloan, Cebu.
The partnership will run for a five years, renewable for another five.
EV charging operations are expected to start in the third quarter, subject to the execution of a definitive agreement.
Topline’s share price was unchanged at P1.40 each on Friday.
