
MANILA, Philippines — The name of the topnotcher of the March 2026 Physician Licensure Examination (PLE) was withheld by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), upon revealing late on Wednesday that 1,954 out of 2,781 examinees (70.26 percent) passed the examination.
While it is not clear why the name of the topnotcher was withheld, the PRC said that was not the only name withheld from the passers’ list.
“The results of examination with respect to five (5) examinees were withheld pending final determination of their liabilities under the rules and regulations governing licensure examinations; and one (1) was withheld for further verification,” the PRC said in a statement.
Results were released four working days from the last day of the exams.

5. Ericson Lloren Luyun - Cagayan State University-Tuguegarao; Joseph Rafael Rosales Mauleon - University of Santo Tomas (89.17 percent)
6. Luigi Ballota Libarios - Brokenshire College; Joven Francis Franco Morales - UST (88.75 percent)
7. Wynne Isis Yu Tan - De La Salle Medical and Health Sciences Institute (88.58 percent)
8. Marie Francene Rio Aquines - West Visayas State University-La Paz (88.50 percent)

The PLE was conducted last March 23, 24, 30 and 31 at testing centers in Metro Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga.
