Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou admits that four defeats in five does bring some pressure.

The Australian former Celtic head coach received lavish praise for his team's performances earlier in the season.

Once top of the table, Spurs are now down in fifth place and only ahead of Manchester United on goal difference.

On the pressure of the job, Postecoglou stated to reporters: I guess neither on both, the pressure is the pressure, you know. It's always there, it's how you kind of treat it and I've never let it sort of guide my path or my way forward.

I just think I've got a clear idea about what I'm trying to do and I'll keep methodically working against that and being really disciplined about that. But that doesn't mean long term.

For me, I don't have a three or five year plan up my sleeve that's guaranteed for success, what I do have is a plan that I think will get us to where we need to be.

How long that takes, I don't know. It depends on how we keep discipline in staying and sticking (to) the path.

Ultimately whether it's this challenge there'll be another challenge in six months, there'll be another one, even if you have success there's a challenge there.

It's how focused you are and how committed you are to go on the path you've started. I'm not wavering with that, I just will not budge. I just think that's what I believe is the best way forward."
