Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou is eyeing former Celtic star Jota.
Jota has been frozen out by Al-Ittihad just months after signing with the Saudis from Postecoglou's former club Celtic.
The Sunday Express says the Spurs manager is keen on a reunion after losing Ivan Perisic for the season with an ACL injury.
Jota hasn't been registered by Al-Ittihad for the Saudi Pro League, though can play in the Champions League and Cup games. However, he has requested a release from his contract after the decision.
That request has been rejected by coach Nuno, but talks are continuing with Jota determined not to be forced to sit out the season.
