Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou insists Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is in his plans.
Postecoglou insists he never considered selling the Dane.
"I never thought that Pierre would leave the club. The conversations I had with him indicated that he was here and wanted to contribute. He wanted to be part of what we are building," said the manager.
"It is clear that someone who has played regularly would like to play more, but our performances have been strong and he has had to wait for his chance."
Postecoglou was pleased with Hjbjerg's performance in the 3-3 draw at Manchester City.
"I think Pierre was excellent in the second half," he added.
"He has experience. I think as a group we had more conviction in our game. We played and didn't doubt ourselves like we did in the first half."
