- Tottenham defender Jan Paul van Hecke has withdrawn from the Netherlands squad due to injury.
- The centre-back suffered what is believed to be a foot injury in his side’s 2-1 win over Serbia on Sunday and will not travel to Greece for the next game.
- Van Hecke will now return to Spurs, with the club left sweating on the severity of the injury.
- Van Hecke joined Tottenham from Brighton in a fee worth over £50 million in the summer and has been a regular starter under Roberto De Zerbi.
- It has been a disastrous start to the season for Tottenham as they have claimed just two points from five league matches, and currently sit bottom of the Premier League.
