Tottenham goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario grew up modeling his game on two Serie A stars.
Vicario left Empoli last summer for Spurs.
He told Sportweek: "I grew up with the myth of Gigi Buffon and (Samir) Handanovic as an idol. I've always had this double vision of the role.
"Buffon who raises the 2006 cup, when I had yet to turn 10, certainly gave me a lot of inspiration.
"Then as a young Friulian who went to watch Udinese every Sunday, I admired Handanovic as a goalkeeper of a team that achieved magnificent results.
"And he left me just as much."
